Who are we?

We are simply Christians who believe…

  • The Bible is God’s divinely inspired, Spirit-given Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Matthew 16:13-17)

  • Jesus died for our sins, was buried and was resurrected from the dead three days later. (1 Corinthians 15:2-3)

  • Jesus wants those who truly love him to do what he says. (John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6; Mark16:15-16)

  • Jesus is coming again to judge the world. (John 5:28-29)

It’s also our desire to…

  • Restore true New Testament Christianity by restoring the true New Testament church (just like the church you read about in the Bible).

  • Worship God and Jesus the same way New Testament Christians worshipped.

  • Follow the New Testament of Jesus Christ, and nothing else – no human creeds, no church manuals, no councils or conventions, and no man-made confessions of faith.

  • Teach the same  plan of salvation found in the New Testament and lead the lost to Jesus Christ.

We’re simply Christians.  Our only desire is to be just like the Christians you read about in the Bible, nothing more and nothing less!  We are not a denomination.  Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth to establish His church (Matthew 16:18), not a denomination devised and organized by man.  Therefore, our goal is to be “the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).

What do we believe about the Lord’s church?

We believe the Bible teaches that the church is the body of Christ, and Jesus is its only head (Matthew 28:18; Ephesians 1:22-23).  Since Jesus Christ is the head of the church we have no governing body that determines doctrine or policy for our congregation.  The Bible is the only authority we follow as to what we should believe, teach and practice doctrinally (2 Timothy 3:16-17).  The New Testament church was completely autonomous (self-governing).  Therefore, the church has no creed book, no manual or official statement of church doctrine.

What is our worship like?

Our worship is simple and focuses on expressing our deepest praise and adoration for God and for His Son Jesus Christ.  You won’t find all the hype and entertainment that is so common in the worship of many churches today.  We strive to make certain that our worship conforms to God’s will.  We meet every first day of every week to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins (Acts 20:7).  We do this through the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper.  We also sing praises to God (a cappella) (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).  We openly study and teach God’s word (2 Timothy 4:2).  We pray for God’s guidance, wisdom, protection, forgiveness and blessings (1 Timothy 2:1; James 1:5; 5:13, 16).  We give back to God from the financial blessings with which He has blessed us (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

What is our mission?

The gospel is God’s message of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16).  Therefore, our mission is to teach the gospel of Christ throughout the world (Mark 16:15-16).  Jesus is our only Savior, and there is no way to God except through Him (John 14:6).  The Bible teaches that everyone is guilty of sin (Romans 3:23), and that the consequence of sin is spiritual death (Romans 6:23). However, forgiveness and eternal salvation are freely given to all who are “in Christ” (Romans 8:1).

"The churches of Christ greet you" (Romans 16:16)
